Overview

AQUARIUS at the Marriott Resort opened in 1996 . The dive base is located directly on the beach where we have our own jetty for our fleet of dive boats. Not only is this a fantastic location but we are lucky enough to have all the Marriott facilities on hand, which is important to know when it comes to that all important 'after dive' refreshment. Add to that an air conditioned classroom, great diver training facilities, multilingual staff, a huge array of PADI Specialties, a divers shop, training pool and an island on your doorstep. Well things don't get much better than that! The centre is renowned for great dive trips and is a firm favourite with the Aquarius regulars who come back year after year. We are only five minutes from the center of Hurghada and within easy reach of all the downtown hotels.

PADI SCUBA DIVER

2 Days course 205 €

This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, covering only the first three of five sections of knowledge development, the first three of five pool sessions, and the first two of four open water training dives, resulting in a limited certification that is still recognized worldwide.

This certification allows for ample dive experience and is a good warm-up for the Open Water Diver course, if that’s your ultimate goal.

CERTIFICATION: PADI Scuba Diver enables you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters under direct supervision of a PADI Professional.

DURATION: 2 days

SCHEDULE: Day 1: Confined water training, theory, knowledge reviews and a 10 minute tread water test.

Day 2: 2 Open water dives from the shore or from the boat.

PADI OPEN WATER

4 Days course 308 €

The PADI Open water course is a four day course. Throughout the course you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this certification by completing five pool dives and five knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives from the shore or off one of our boats on the beautiful Red Sea reefs. After completion you will be free to dive anywhere in the world along with your buddy!.

CERTIFICATION: PADI Open Water Diver. Enables you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters with a buddy independent of a professional guide.

DURATION: 4 days

SCHEDULE: Day 1: Theory, knowledge reviews and 10 minute tread water & 200 metre swim test, confined water sessions.

Day 2: Confined water sessions, theory, knowledge reviews.

Day 3: Open Water Dives One and Two.

Day 4: Open Water Dives Three & Four, Final Exam.

OPEN WATER REFERRAL

2 Days course 185 €

To accommodate those who wish to do part of the course at home and complete the rest of the course here in the beautiful WARM waters of the Red Sea. The PADI Open Water course can be done in two parts. Part 1 with your local PADI Dive Club at home will cover all the academics, pool sessions and examinations, usually undertaken over evenings and weekends within 6 months before your intended vacation; preferable just before as your knowledge will still be fresh in your mind. This leaves only the 4 open water dives that are completed on this referral course in the comfort and splendour of the warmth and clarity of the Red Sea. Which is considered by many to be much more preferable than the cold quarries, lakes and seas we have back home.

This certification allows for ample dive experience and is a good warm-up for the Open Water Diver course, if that’s your ultimate goal.
